■ Sasagamine Aid Station Parking
Parking space around the Sasagamine Aid Station is limited. To prevent traffic congestion and ensure smooth support for runners, we ask for your cooperation with the following:
- Large vehicles, including minibuses and camper vans, are not permitted to park.
- Groups arriving in multiple vehicles must carpool along the way and limit the number of vehicles going up to Sasagamine to one.
- Once you have finished supporting your runner, please leave promptly to make the parking space available for others.
In particular, having multiple vehicles from the same group travel to Sasagamine may result in parking shortages and traffic congestion on surrounding roads.
Please help us make the best use of the limited parking space by reducing the number of vehicles so that race operations and runner support can proceed smoothly.
■ Parking Instructions for Sasagamine Aid Station
Please stop first at the entrance to the Green House on the Myoko Kogen Park Line (P1). If space is available, park at the Green House Parking Lot (P2) or the Spectator Lower Parking Lot (P3). If both are full, park in the designated roadside parking area along the Myoko Kogen Park Line (P4) and walk to the Sasagamine Aid Station (700 m / approx. 11 minutes).
If the Green House Parking Lot (P2), Spectator Lower Parking Lot (P3), and roadside parking area (P4) are all full, all vehicles associated with the Shinetsu Five Mountains Trail Running Race (support crews, spectators, etc.) must park at the gravel parking lot before the Otomi Lake Rest Area (P5). From there, please proceed to the Sub-Assistant Area (450 m / approx. 6 minutes on foot) to support or cheer on runners.
In this case, supporters and runners are responsible for arranging in advance how and where to meet or communicate with each other.
Driving into the Green House Parking Lot only to drop off a pacer is also prohibited due to the narrow road. Pacers should be dropped off at the roadside in front of the Green House information sign near P1 and walk from there to the Sasagamine Aid Station.
Waiting on the roadside for a space to become available in your preferred parking lot is prohibited, as this may cause traffic congestion.
Driving into the Green House Parking Lot only to unload support equipment is prohibited due to the narrow road. Please carry all equipment from your parking location.
■ Sasagamine Aid Station Sub-Assistant Area (12:00–18:00)
The location of the Sub-Assistant Area has changed from last year. The parking area is now closer to the Sub-Assistant Area, making parking easier than at the Sasagamine Green House Aid Station.
Please note the following rules for the Sub-Assistant Area and follow the instructions of race staff and posted signs.
- There is no aid station (food or drinks) and no restroom at the Sub-Assistant Area.
- You may choose to support your runner at the Sub-Assistant Area from the beginning. However, support is permitted at only one location: either the Sasagamine Aid Station or the Sub-Assistant Area near the gravel parking lot before the Otomi Lake Rest Area (P5). No advance registration is required.
- At the Sub-Assistant Area, you may reserve a space in advance in the outdoor gravel area. However, spaces inside the tents (2 tents with chairs and tables) may not be reserved in advance.
- Please use the public restroom at the Otomi Lake Rest Area (290 m / approx. 3 minutes on foot).
Runners may not use this restroom because it is off the race course. Runners should use the restroom at the Sasagamine Green House Aid Station. - Parking at the Otomi Lake Rest Area (the parking lot next to the public restroom) is prohibited for race-related vehicles, as it is reserved for hikers and tourists.
