Applications open from April 9 (Thu) via RUNNET. Please note that applications may close early or a lottery may be held if the number of applicants exceeds capacity.
- Eligibility

- Must reside in Japan
- Healthy individuals aged 18 or older who are willing to actively support race operations
- Working Hours
-
Approximately 15 hours during September 21 (Mon) – 23(Wed), 2026, as directed by the race organizers (multiple volunteers stationed at nighttime/long-duration posts with breaks and nap time available in rotation)
*Activity details and working hours will be announced around mid-August after finalizing race operations. In principle, applicants must be available throughout the entire race period.
*There are course marshaling points on the 110km course where multiple volunteers cannot be stationed. - Benefits

- Volunteers who complete approximately 15 hours of service and wish to do so will receive priority entry for next year’s Shinetsu Five Mountains Trail Running Race (accommodation required; either 100 mile or 110km).
- A Patagonia commemorative race T-shirt (Capilene Cool Daily Shirt) will be provided.
- Free attendance at the awards ceremony.
- Meals will be provided during the race period (through the awards ceremony).
- For those traveling from afar, accommodation at a pension or hotel will be arranged free of charge for the 1st and 2nd nights.
