What is IBUKI?
IBUKI is a tracking system that allows runners’ positions to be monitored in near real-time. By carrying the “IBUKI GPS” device, location information is transmitted every 3 minutes, allowing supporters and fans to track a runner’s progress almost instantly.
Please note that for this event, IBUKI will be used for tracking purposes only and will not be used for official timekeeping.
What kind of device is it?
It is a thin and lightweight GPS communication device weighing 78g. It is about the size of a business card and fits easily in the palm of your hand. It is waterproof, dustproof, and shockproof, making it suitable for use even in rainy conditions.
IBUKI GPS uses docomo’s LTE network, so areas marked as “LTE” on the docomo service area map are compatible. However, since IBUKI GPS transmits only time and location data—requiring much less bandwidth than a voice call—it may successfully communicate in areas where calls are difficult. In particular, open areas such as ridges may allow for successful transmission even if they are technically outside the service area. (Conversely, communication may fail even within service areas if you are in a deep valley, etc.)
The battery lasts for approximately 40 hours of continuous use in good signal environments, though poor reception may deplete the battery faster. As the 100-mile time limit for this race is 33 hours, recharging during the event is optional.
To use the device, turn it on and place it inside the provided dedicated pouch, then attach it to your backpack’s shoulder strap. As it is a radio-transmitting device, please be aware that placing it at the bottom of your pack or near aluminum or water may interfere with signal reception.

A pick-up booth will be set up at the registration venue. Please provide your bib number and name upon pick-up.

Devices will be handed over with the power ON and already inside the dedicated pouch.
Device Return Method
During the race, please return your device to the booth located next to the Finish Gate at the finish venue (Iizuna Resort Plaza Aurora). You may also return the device at the award ceremony venue after the event.
In the event of withdrawal from the race (DNF), please ensure you return the device to the finish venue or the award ceremony venue.
If you return home without returning the device
Please ship the device back to OND Inc., the operator of IBUKI. Please note that return shipping costs are the responsibility of the user.

In case of failure to return
If the device is not returned within 7 days of the race conclusion, or if it is intentionally damaged, a replacement fee of 19,800 JPY (Tax included) will be charged.
Cancellation Policy
A cancellation fee will be charged if you cancel your application.<line-break/>* Please note that cancelling your race entry does not automatically cancel your device rental; you must complete separate cancellation procedures for both. These instructions pertain to device rental cancellation.
Up to 30 days before start: No cancellation fee. Full rental fee will be refunded.<line-break/>Up to 14 days before start: 10% cancellation fee. The remaining amount minus bank transfer fees will be refunded.<line-break/>Up to 7 days before start: 30% cancellation fee. The remaining amount minus bank transfer fees will be refunded.<line-break/>Up to 3 days before start: 50% cancellation fee. The remaining amount minus bank transfer fees will be refunded.<line-break/>2 days before start or later: 100% cancellation fee. No refunds will be provided.<line-break/>
