We carried out repair work on a section of the wooden staircase that had partially collapsed due to aging, with the goal of improving safety and walkability.
In the most severely damaged areas, we reinforced the steps and stabilized the tread surfaces to ensure that trail users can pass through safely and with confidence.

We also repaired sections of the wooden boardwalk that had deteriorated over many years due to exposure to wind, rain, and heavy snowfall, where holes and structural damage had appeared.
These improvements allow users to avoid muddy sections and significantly enhance both safety and comfort while walking.
The trail is now safer not only for regular trail users but also for visitors exploring the area for sightseeing.

In addition, we carried out replacement work on the “Ippon-bashi (Single Log Bridge)”, one of the locations that had required maintenance for several years.
Damage to the bridge was identified during post-snowmelt course inspections, and prompt action was necessary to ensure user safety.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the local government authorities for their significant support in coordinating permissions and procedures required for this maintenance work.

This section is also part of the Amatomi Trail, and on the day of the maintenance activity, members of the Amatomi Trail Club joined the Shinetsu Trail Maintenance Team (“Shinetsu Doboku”) to carry out the bridge replacement work together.
As a result, this section of the trail is now safe and easy to pass, contributing to improved accessibility and safety across the entire trail network.
We will continue working together with local communities and partner organizations to maintain and improve a safe and sustainable trail environment for everyone.
